Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 27, 2026 · Last updated: October 27, 2026
This policy explains what information this website (the “Site”) handles, and why.
In short: the Site has no accounts, sign-up or contact forms, cookies set by us, analytics, or ads, and it never asks for your name, email address, or other personal details. Our hosting provider processes basic technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver our pages and keep the Site secure.
Who we are
The Site is operated by Anton Kozyrev, a sole proprietor (Individual Entrepreneur) registered in the country of Georgia, ID 304822565, trading as AnKo Software Labs (“we,” “us,” “our”). If you have a privacy question or request, email us at contact@ankosoftlab.com.
What the Site does not do
The Site:
- has no accounts, sign-up or contact forms, comments, or newsletter;
- does not set its own cookies or use local storage or similar technologies;
- does not run analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or social media widgets;
- does not load fonts, scripts, or images from third-party domains.
Hosting and server logs
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. When you open one of our pages, your browser sends a standard request to Cloudflare’s servers. The request includes your IP address, the address (URL) of the page, your browser type, and the date and time. Cloudflare processes this information on our behalf, under its Data Processing Addendum, to deliver the Site, protect it from attacks, and prevent abuse. To detect bots, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance), as described in Cloudflare’s cookie policy.
We do not run our own servers and have no access to raw server logs. Cloudflare keeps them for a limited period under its own retention rules. Cloudflare may show us overall traffic statistics, such as the number of visits by country, that do not identify individual visitors.
Station search and “Use my location”
The search box helps you find the weather station closest to a place you choose. It works inside your browser:
- Typing a city or ZIP code. To show suggestions, your browser downloads small data files from the Site. The file it downloads depends on the first two letters of the city, the first digit of the ZIP code, or the state abbreviation you enter. Like any page request, these downloads may appear in our hosting provider’s logs. Nothing else you type leaves your browser.
- Use my location. This works only if you click the button and allow location access in your browser. Your browser then shares your coordinates with the page, which compares them with the station list right on your device. Your coordinates are not sent to us and are not stored by the Site. To find your location, your browser or device may use its own location service (for example, from Apple, Google, or Microsoft), which is covered by that company’s privacy policy. You can turn off location access at any time in your browser settings.
- Opening a station. When you pick a station, your browser opens that station’s page. This is a normal page request, so it appears in our hosting provider’s logs like any other visit and may suggest the general area you were looking at.
If you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and never add you to a mailing list. We keep your messages for up to 12 months after our last exchange, unless we need them longer to meet a legal obligation. We use Namecheap to forward email and Google’s Gmail to store it; Google handles this under its own privacy policy.
Selling, sharing, and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, for example in response to a valid court order. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because the Site does not track visitors, it works the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Children
The Site is a general-audience gardening resource and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Legal basis (EU and UK visitors)
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interests: running a secure, working website and replying to emails you send us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, U.S. state privacy laws, or the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection. These may include the right to access your information and get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format.
You can also object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests.
Because the Site collects so little, the only personal information we usually have about you is any email you’ve sent us. To make a request, email us at contact@ankosoftlab.com. We will reply without undue delay and within the time required by applicable law (usually within 10 business days). We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You can also file a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the data protection authority in your EU country, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.
International transfers
We and our service providers may access information from countries other than yours. Cloudflare, Namecheap, and Google operate servers around the world, including in the United States. For transfers from the EU and UK, Cloudflare and Google rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension) and on Standard Contractual Clauses.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to data sources such as NOAA, PRISM (Oregon State University), and GeoNames. When you follow a link, the other website sees only that you came from the Site’s domain, not the specific page, and its own privacy policy applies.
Changes to this policy
If anything described here changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. Before we add analytics, advertising, or affiliate links, we will update this policy to explain what they collect.
